Heat treatment, is an important component of the motor parts manufacturing process, some parts only perform a processing technology, while some parts need to perform two or even three heat treatment process. Today we share with you a few heat treatment process.

1.Tempering Process

Tempering is in the quenching process after another heat treatment process, is the hardened parts are heated to a critical temperature below, and then cooled in air or oil. Through the tempering process, you can make parts with stable organization and size; eliminate or reduce the internal stress after quenching to achieve the required hardness, and improve the toughness of the quenched parts. General alloy steel, high carbon and low carbon steel parts for tempering.

Tempering is also a heat treatment process carried out after quenching, i.e. high temperature tempering after quenching. Some special purposes of the motor shaft is to be tempered. Its purpose is to make the parts have better mechanical properties; can lay the foundation for the next heat treatment; prevent subsequent heat treatment process cracking or deformation problems; at the same time can improve the processing of materials; improve the fatigue strength of parts and wear resistance.

2.Timing process

Timing is divided into heating timing and room temperature timing two cases. Heating timing is to heat the workpiece to a certain temperature (generally controlled at 120 to 160 degrees between), insulation 6 to 36 hours; room temperature timing is at room temperature for natural timing, the timing time is relatively long, need not less than 6 months, generally in accordance with the control of 6 to 18 months.

Motor products, casting timing treatment is very critical, many motor factories in order to better timing treatment, will pre-order some general-purpose parts. After timing treatment, the deformation of the parts after processing will be reduced, but also can effectively eliminate the processing of internal stress, to ensure that the mechanical properties of the whole product has a good role in promoting.
